Buy the FT-5000 2.0 for the deepest stacks, the best carriages, and a height choice. Buy the XM-7626 if true crossover width for chest work outranks carriage refinement and you accept 200 lb stacks as your ceiling. Both are premium answers; they simply spend the money on different things.
Stack and ceiling
REP fits 224 lb per side against XMark at 200 lb. At 1:2 that is roughly 112 lb against 100 lb per handle, a gap heavy rowers will feel and accessory focused lifters will not.
Geometry
The XM-7626 is built wide for crossover movement. The REP is a trainer format first, with width enough for flies but geometry tuned for general work and its trolley system.
Adjustment experience
Roller trolleys against conventional carriages: the REP changes height faster and with one hand, dozens of small wins a week. The XMark system is proven and perfectly serviceable, just older in feel.
