Buy the REP ball for throwing training: wall work, partner passes, and anything fast where grip decides safety. Buy the Amazon Basics ball for core work, slow circuits, and light throws where a solid rubber ball at an entry price is all the tool the job needs.
Construction
REP uses a stitched, textured cover over balanced fill, which grips and flies like a training ball. Amazon Basics uses solid rubber, which cannot split a seam and wipes clean, but gets slick sooner and offers a narrower weight range.
Bounce character
Both rebound, but the REP bounce is the more controlled and predictable of the two off a wall, while the solid rubber ball can come back livelier than new owners expect. Neither belongs in a slam workout.

FAQ
Questions, answered straight
Which lasts longer?
Used as intended, both last well. The rubber ball has no seams to fail; the stitched ball survives throwing impact better. Misuse, slamming either one, ends the contest early for both.
