Our recommendation

Buy the Ohio Bar if your week contains cleans, presses, rows, and variety. Buy the Ohio Power Bar if your week is squat, bench, and deadlift with heavy intent. Most mixed home gyms are happier on the generalist; most frustrated generalist owners were powerlifters all along.

Knurl and center section

Medium dual mark knurl with a smooth center against aggressive power knurl with a biting center section. This single difference decides comfort in cleans, security in squats, and hand wear across a training week.

Shaft character

28.5 mm with balanced flex against 29 mm built stiff. Under moderate loads both feel normal; under heavy squats the power bar composure is the difference owners pay for.

Choose Rogue Fitness Rogue Ohio Bar if…

  • Your program mixes Olympic lifts or high rep work
  • One bar must serve a household with varied training
  • You prefer moderate knurl for daily use

Choose Rogue Fitness Rogue Ohio Power Bar if…

  • Squat, bench, and deadlift are the program
  • Grip at maximal deadlift loads is a limiter
  • You squat low bar and want center knurl security

FAQ

Questions, answered straight

Can I own the power bar as my only bar?

Many powerlifters do. Just accept scraped shins on deadlift volume, tender hands early on, and no comfortable cleans. If none of that is your training, it is a non issue.
