Our recommendation

Buy the JR1 for the smoother pedal feel, lower profile, and the manual simplicity of no cords. Buy the SF-E3872 if the remote-controlled magnetic resistance and the lower price matter more than the last word in build polish.

Drive and controls

The JR1's resistance is a manual dial on the unit, changed by bending down. The Sunny's magnetic system is adjusted from a hand remote, a genuine ergonomic win mid-workday. In exchange, the Sunny has a cord and remote to keep track of, and the Cubii has nothing to lose.

Feel and fit

Owners rate the Cubii's pedal arc as the smoother of the two, and its lower body clears tighter desks. Both creep on hard floors; both need a mat. The Sunny's display is the smaller and dimmer of the pair.

FAQ

Questions, answered straight

Which is quieter?

Both sit in the call-friendly class at moderate effort. Magnetic systems avoid the faint mechanical sounds a manual unit can develop with age; the Cubii's build quality keeps it quiet longer in owner reports.
